Frostpunk 2 teaser12/24/2023 ![]() You can approve 'Barrier Troops' to stop them from retreating or deserting, but it will increase discontent.Ģ: Employment of chemical weapons. Some doctrines may be more ethical but put your troops at a disadvantage.ġ: Having low morale/discipline or whatever the equivalent of hope/discontent will be, your troops will retreat/desert. 'Signing' certain laws or 'military doctrines' might make winning easier, but will have adverse effects, and you have to think about balancing between ethics and victory. Like Frostpunk and This war of mine, I predict that it's a strategy game that's not solely about surving/defeating the enemy but more about how you do so. ![]() I think its gonna be a management/strategy game about managing a military - training troops, managing morale, industry, logistics and all that military stuff. My prediction is that it's gonna be basically WWI frostpunk with trench warfare and stuff. Maybe there's something in the artbook or somewhere else. I'll check out the numbers on the barrel when I get home. The tracks on the snow also show there was more than one assailant. Also, murdered guy was definetly hit with the mallet on the head and later dragged over to where he rests (there are tracks on the snow that show something was being dragged). I have the suspicion it's an oil rig, but no way to know. Other things that I found, regardless of importance: The settlement/outpost the scene shows seems abandoned (icicles on the steel bars in the background, no light/heat). The freezing temperature for crude oil, according to google, is bewteen -40✯ and -60✯ (or -40✬ and -50✬ aprox.) What I did notice, although it may very well be me being a bug dumdumb, is that the pool of oil right by the barrel is still and unmoving, even with strong wind. Maybe oil substitutes coal as the fuel for the Generator? I have no clue. It's funny how we don't see any coal or steam however. ![]() A lot of things imply oil will be a big factor in the game. The oil being in the teaser, the hashtag #SnowBloodOil. With the fadeout at On The Edge implying the sequel would take place in 1916, I would love to see the downfall of New London. I'll say that if Frostpunk 2 actually takes place on the 70s or 60s, I'll be a bit sad. I'd like to point out however that after a bit of googling the date of the quote would be Jan 24th, 1967. It's also worth mentioning that the quote has a lot of meaning regarding Frostpunk's setting. Those are all pretty interesting points you made there. I'll credit you in the post update if I'm gonna use it! Please feel free to share your discoveries. I'm going to read all of your considerations and theories and I'll update the post accordingly. The other games wouldn't use any font resembling that.ĮDIT 1: The music in the teaser resembles the On The Edge ' Snow is Ever-changing' sound-track. Last bit of detail: the font in the initial quote seems to be the only one fitting for the Frostpunk universe. The inscription on the oil barrel reads: 25-17TESTE (D) or (0) 7 ICC - 5 96370455 GALS Does this mean that this alleged sequel will be set in the 70's?It could work, considering that we see oil barrels in the snowy setting, suggesting that there's been a further technological advancement from the coal era. Wilson.According to Wikipedia, Wilson was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom twice, from October 1964 to June 1970*, and again from March* 1974 to April 1976*.*As we know, the timeline in Frostpunk ends on 1916 with the On The Edge DLC. It is unclear if it is going to actually be the Frostpunk sequel we're all hoping for, and the official reveal is going to be on August 12th 2021.In the meantime, let's analyze all the info we can get from the trailer and see if we can scrounge up anything.įirst of all, the quote: "He who rejects change is the architect of decay", from H. The trailer published today after the 11bitstudios conference hinted about a new snowy, bloody project.
